Happy Birthday TeeTee
My sister has always had the knack of giving me terrific birthday cards. I tend to anticipate the birthday card more than the present it’s self. They usually illustrate identical twin sisters on the front of the card, embracing each other, holding hands or just sitting together. And the simple verse or phrase of sentiment captures that special relationship we share. In looking back at our lives together I found many of the same type of pictures we had taken of us. I’ve chosen a few to illustrate my own birthday message to my sister, Christie. (known as TeeTee, the name we called each other when we were babies.
The bond between us is unique.
We have fought and made up, laughed and loved and at times even resented each other…..but never stopped caring for one another. Our relationship goes beyond just being sisters. We are best friends, rivals, listening posts, shopping buddies, confidantes and much, much more.
The closeness we share is a connection unlike most sisters. We are as one. We look alike, think alike, and we are even mistaken for the other when we call our own mother on the phone. We dress alike even without planning it, and have been known to finish each others sentences and thoughts. One remembers what the other one forgets.
TeeTee, Happy 60th Birthday. I want to grow old with you! I look forward to many more years together. We truly are one heart, one mind, one soul. I love you…….you complete me.
